FIRECO Dorgard Smartsound Door Hold Open Device - White

The Fireco Dorgard SmartSound is a wireless fire door hold open device designed to safely retain fire doors in the open position during normal use, helping to improve access and ventilation throughout a building. When the buildings fire alarm sounds, the device automatically releases the door, allowing the existing door closer to close it and help restrict the spread of fire and smoke.

Dorgard SmartSound incorporates advanced noise filtering technology designed to distinguish the fire alarm from common background sounds such as vacuum cleaners and machinery, helping to reduce unwanted releases. The battery powered design requires no connection to the fire alarm system or mains wiring and can typically be installed at the bottom of the door in under five minutes using four screws. Adjustable sensitivity and automatic night time release provide additional flexibility for different building environments.

The Dorgard SmartSound is tested to EN 1155 and EN 1634, CE and UKCA marked, and classified for Standard Category B installations under BS 7273-4:2015+A1:2021. It is suitable for use on FD30 and FD60 fire doors when correctly specified and installed. As this product is fire tested, it must be installed in accordance with the manufacturers instructions and used with all relevant associated products where required.
